Maryland Summer Camp: FAQ
What to bring
All players must have their own equipment to include cleats, sticks, helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, and mouthpiece. Players should wear athletic shorts and t-shirts everyday to play in. Some other items to bring are toiletries, shower shoes, linens, sneakers, towels, pillows, blankets.
There will be at least 2 counselors per floor staying overnight in the dorms, as well as a trainer. Room sizes are 2-3 campers per room and we will accommodate the roommate requests submitted as best as we can. The bathrooms/showers are shared with two per floor.
When: Wednesday July 10th from 12:00 - 2:00 PM for overnight campers. Day campers can check-in closer to 2:00 PM.
Where: Registration will take place on the Maryland Stadium Concourse by Gate C. Please report there FIRST, and then proceed to the dorm. You do not need to bring your gear to registration. Parking for drop-off is located across the street in Stadium Drive Garage. You may also utilize Lot 1 located adjacent to the stadium.
When: Friday July 12th at 8:00 PM
Where: Dorm TBD. Campers MUST be checked out of their dorm rooms by 8:30 PM.
Day Camper Drop-off/Pick-up
Day campers can be dropped off at Registration on Wednesday at 2:00 PM, and 8:30 AM on Thursday and Friday. Drop-off for Thursday and Friday will be at Dorm TBD. Pick-up will be at 8:15 PM.
We will be eating each meal at "The Diner", seen on the map as "Ellicott Area Dining". Overnight campers will receive Dinner Wednesday, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Thursday and Friday. Day Campers will receive Dinner Wednesday, Lunch and Dinner Thursday and Friday.
We will be utilizing 3 fields for camp, to include both turf and grass. Gatorade is a camp sponsor and will be providing water and gatorade, along with some light fueling snacks, for the duration of camp.
We will have a camp store that will be selling snacks, drinks and Maryland lacrosse gear. Parents will be able to set up a "Camp Store Account" for their player at Registration an add money so their player does not have to keep cash on them during camp.
If your camper is bringing medication, you must fill out the form that was emailed and have it SIGNED by a physician. You must also send in the camper waiver if you have not done so already. Please bring all medications to Registration.
